A one-of-a-kind experience
Over 300 X-rays each year, nearly 200 anesthetics, and more than 11,000 lab tests!
Our team of veterinary medicine experts works every day with heart and professionalism to care for more than 1,500 animals.
From sharks to giraffes—along with ostriches and boas—these animal health care pros do work that’s both complex and fascinating. And here’s the good news: during Spring Break (March 2 to 6), they’re opening the doors to their hospital for an exclusive look into their world!

What to expect
Accompanied by a guide who will answer ALL your questions, discover the hub of veterinary activity at the Zoo and take a peek into different work areas: the X-ray room, laboratory, surgery room, and more!
The luckiest visitors may even get the chance to watch a health check-up live—or chat with one of our veterinarians!
This activity is included with admission. Access to the Veterinary Hospital is located beside Café de l’Allée, near the Zoo entrance, via a queue line. Tours last approximately 15 minutes per group, and each group can include a maximum of 20 people, all ages welcome. Please note that in the event of a veterinary emergency, the activity may be cancelled without notice.
