A new habitat has been created especially for them and now they can sunbathe in front of the visitors. The afrika pavillon is an excursion into the African bush to discover ten animal species: Lowland, Gorilla, Mandrill, African Clawless Otter, Caracal, Veiled Chameleon, Eastern Black and White Colobus, Ball Python.
Gorillas also have access to a new 10,000 ft2 (1,000 m2) outside park inaugurated in 2006. Windows allow visitors to interact with the great primates.
