Sharks
Standing in their basin, an educator will guide your safe contact with this mythic fish with delicate strokes.
He will inform you, among other things, that there are hundreds of shark species; that their teeth grow all through their life; he’ll tell you which ones are the most dangerous and that they can be found in the St. Lawrence River.
Those living at the Granby Zoo love warm salt water.
Is the shark’s skin rough or slimy? Come find out for yourself!
Lorikeets
Step inside the Lories’ Aviary.

These small parrots originating from Oceania love to be fed.
Attract them with a bit of nectar; they find it very savoury.
If you have some, they might even perch on your head.

À nous la planète Rides Park
Young explorers climb into a ride to discover a corner of the world as well as the animal that calls it home. L’étreinte de l’Anaconda (The Anaconda’s Stranglehold), L’Arizona à moto (Motorbiking across Arizona) or Duel dans la Savane (Duel in the Savannah) are just a few of the names that evoke fun and adventures.
The Granby Zoo’s À nous la planète Rides Park is a most exciting place. You can enjoy over a dozen free activities such as bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, a small train…
The rest areas, set up like small train station platforms, allow visitors to relax while comfortably sheltered from the sun. The Quai des glaces and the Café de la gare provide refreshments before our explorers set out on new adventures.
The younger visitors will have a ball in the jungle training camp. Under a big top, they can test their skills in the balls pool, on the toboggans and in the labyrinths.
Hey kids! Don’t forget your socks!
